The Gammon Team travelled to St Austell on Sunday 5th July to play their third round match against Perranporth. The weather was bright and breezy with isolated showers and the course was in excellent condition. St Enodoc fielded an established, competitive team but they were not able to overcome a strong Perranporth side. Our opponents got off to an impressive start, winning the first four matches by comfortable margins with Sue Willmott and Meg Godfrey seizing victory in their matches to add to the St Enodoc total.
Gammon Team Captain, Barbara Willmott thanked all the St Enodoc players, caddies and supporters for their efforts during the day and complimented St Austell on the first class catering arrangements. Barbara congratulated Perranporth on progressing to the semi-final stage and wished them well in the next round against Truro.
