Antony's first EuroPro event, the Motocaddy Masters, was held at Wensum Valley. The first round was a scrappy up and down round that opened with a bogey and had four more spread throughout it including one down the last. However in between the scrappy bogeys there was some very promising golf and hard battling to hold onto his score and keep himself in a good position going into the second round. He finished Round One with a 1 over par 74 and was in 7th going into Round Two.
The second round was a frustrating one for him playing some of his best tee to green golf but having played late the previous 2 days he was caught out early in the round by the pace which cost 3 silly bogeys and put him instantly on the back foot. A further two 3 putts at 8 and 9 halted the momentum before a double bogey took him to 6 over after 10. Despite 7 great birdie chances in the closing 8 holes he was unable to convert.A further bogey on the tough Par 3 15th meant he was 7 over for the round despite hitting 16 greens giving a total of 154 and he missed the cut by one. All in all, although Antony was disappointed in missing the cut he feels his game is definitely at a level to compete and win, and he felt very comfortable with the environment.
