I think it would be sensible to warn those entered for the Christmas Farmers that the day might be affected by the weather. A decision to cancel will have to be made the day before, so giving adequate notice to those concerned, especially the kitchen. Notice of cancellation will appear on the website and Clubhouse staff will be informed.
On the day we may make a decision to reduce the day’s competition to 12 holes. That decision will be made on the day. With a 12 hole competition the post golf meal would be 3:30- 4pm.
Some players do go home to change so I would ask them to be back at the Club either at 3:30pm. or 5pm.
If, on the day, the weather is favourable then the competition will be over 18 holes with the meal being 5 to 5:30. Participants are reminded that the entry fee is £5 with the meal cost of £15. Payment in cash, at the bar where you can collect your score card. Completed scorecards to be returned to a box conveniently placed at the bar for your use.
