l to r: Chris Tatum, Club Captain Tony Mindel, Kim Mundy and Ladies Captain Sue Roworth
The Valentines Day Greensomes took place on Sunday 1th February - for those playing with spouses should it really be called the Divorce Open? Either way it was played in dry conditions but with a strong and really biting North West wind which reduced the Wind Chill factor down below -1c. No question of hot passion on the day what was really required was hot soup. Both courses enjoyed a good number of couples and there was a marked difference between the scores with those, except one hot pair - of which more later, on the Church really struggling in the gusty conditions. Thankfully and in order to ensure that the sixty golfers participating did not succumb to frostbite and hypothermia the Club Captain decided to restrict the competion to twelve holes on the Church and fifteen on the Holywell.
As hinted at one pair did outstandingly well scoring 27 stableford points over 12 holes on the Church Course - new Members Kim Mundy and Chris Tatum. Chris has just returned from an eight year break from golf and this was his first mixed golf event ever - well played both of you and welcome to St Enodoc Golf Club.
