It was a even closely contested battle for the right to progress in the Cornwall Bowl. Fortunes fluctuated but eventually St Enodoc came through 3.5 to 1.5.
The top match saw Graham Keeble and Nigel Olesen win 1 up. The second match saw Kevin Birkett and Paul Honey eventually pull away to win 3 & 1. The next game with Matt Robbins and Tom Hughes went to Lanhydrock by the same score. It was St Enodoc’s fourth pair, Ian Day and Phil Hoare who calmed the situation with the clinching victory 3 & 2. With the match won St Enodoc’s final pair of Peter Liddicoat and Mark Jarvis shook hands for a half.
It is particularly important to thank the support we received throughout the day, both from caddies and partisan spectators!
