The St Enodoc CAW Cornwall Bowl team mastered the difficult 30 mph wind, today at Perranporth, rather better than their Falmouth opponents to win this first round match 3.5 points to 1.5 points. Perranporth golf course was in good order but in the strong wind good golf was at a premium.
Danny Hoare was forced to make one change from his chosen side when John Glynne-Jones dropped out on Thursday with a back injury. His place was taken by Mark Richards and who with young Ryan Perring fought back from 3 down in their match to win half a point. The match was in the balance for several hours but some good St Enodoc chipping and putting was enough to see the team through to the next round.
Captain Danny\'s boys will next play Trethorne (5-0 first round winners) over the weekend of 9/10th November.
