Former Ryder Cup player Paul Broadhurst shot a magnificent 64 around St Enodoc yesterday. Conditions were good for golf with enough breeze to warrant the players attention and the greens in perfect shape. Broadhurst\'s score matches the Professional record at St Enodoc, held by Mark Arrowsmith, but is unlikely to be recognised as preferred lies were allowed yesterday. Broadhurst\'s score was not good enough to overtake the tournament leader - another Ryder Cup man - Phillip Price and who has a two shot lead. Price plays his final round today at St Enodoc.
And what of our two teams ? Well so far as our two Pro\'s individual scores are concerned they are now right down in the relegation zone and will need something special today to haul themsleves up to somewhere near respectability. Of the two team scores Antony\'s boys are placed 25th of 110 teams and Nick\'s lie in 54th place; however only six stableford points separate the two teams - a gap that can easily be bridged. However the gap of twelve points between Antony\'s team and the tournament team leaders may be a bridge too far.
