A field of 93 turned out for the first in the series of the Colonel’s and Metropole Cups. The weather was changeable through out the day with scurries of rain and a difficult North-Westerly wind blowing straight down the first fairway. The wind increased through the day making it a tough slog home.
Both divisions were won with 35 point. Rob Davies, the winner of division one, The Colonel’s Cup, said “I didn’t have a particularly remarkable round, one birdie and 2 bogeys” - off scratch, I think that sounds pretty good! Danny Hoare won division 2, The Metropole Cup, with a 4 pointer into the wind on 18.
