There was no need for a super over nor a championship tie-breaker, this weekend's victors in both the Colonels and Metropole Cups won with out the need for countback, with Nigel Buse winning the Metropole division by a clear 7 points.
The Colonel's Cup winner was David Lupton with 36 points, after a birdie on the 5th hole Dave's back nine was a series of par after par. Dave's handicap is cut to 3. In second place, Martin Biddle scored 34 points, and Richard Hawken in 3rd place scored 33 points. Prizes were awared to 7th place with the rest of the prize winners seperated by countback: Rob Cook, Nick Clarke, Josh Greenaway and Russell Combellack all scoring 32 points.
The Metropole Cup was taken by storm by Nigel Buse, who scored 41 points, with a birdie on the 7th. Nigel is cut from 14 to a 12 handicap, he will play Colonels Cup next time! Tom Wills and Wayne Mithcell finished 2nd and 3rd with 34 points, with Byron Weston and Terry Johns in 4th and 5th place with 33 points each. Kevin Richards and Tristan Lang took the final 2 prizes with 32 points each.
