After the string of match defeats so far this year for the Seniors it is great to be able to report some good news. St Enodoc always sends a large compliment of players to the Lanhydrock Seniors Open thanks to the efforts of David Barber and 2013 was no exception the difference was that we had an excellent day and provided the winners of both sections. Derek Rushton won the main event with a stunning 42 points and Tony Mindel was 4th with 41, spare a thought for poor Peter Commings who managed 40 points off a handicap of 7 and came nowhere!
The Super Seniors section, eligibilty for which I am not allowed to reveal on security grounds, also saw a St Enodoc winner with Keith Willmott leading the field home with 38 points. The scores generally were very good a reflection of the state of the course which was excellent and it was unusual for St Enodoc “boys” to be playing off lush green fairways!
