St. Enodoc Golf Club - Change of date for the Goodman to September 13th

Change of date for the Goodman to September 13th

The Ernie Goodman Trophy is the Club's premier Men's Open Meeting will now be on Sunday 13th September; it is normally played on the first Sunday in September and that is where it features in this year's diary. However the date has been changed to avoid a clash with a Channel League match as happened last year which deprived the Goodman of the best of the County's players. We are now promised a really strong field of the great and the good. As a result the Holywell Pandora's Box has been rescheduled for November 8th.

Captain David Elliott wants us to pull out all the stops and to provide the course, facilities, food and hospitality to make this the best hosted Men's Open event in the South West of which we can all be proud. When we held the English Women's Amateur Championships last year, thanks to the efforts of large numbers of our Members who volunteered in all sorts of roles, we were hugely complimented by both Golf England and the players for how well we looked after them. It is our intention to give the Goodman similar treatment so do not be surprised to see volunteer forms on the notice boards shortly.
