The weather was good for golf at St Enodoc on the Club Captain’s Day which took place on Saturday 1st August. Two hundred and eighty eight golfers were welcomed on the first tee by starters; Bob Cruse and Ian Day who were suited and booted for the occasion! Players enjoyed the fun team format and the opportunity to buy a shot from Joe Cruse who was out and about on both courses raising money for the Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
After finishing their round of golf many players enjoyed outdoor drinks, a barbeque and the chance to catch up with friends in the sunshine. Bob would like to thank everyone who supported the event and all those who helped with the organisation particularly: Ian, Joe, Chris, Heather and Wappo.
Special mention should go to Tom Womersley who achieved three two’s on Holes 5, 15 and 17 on the Church course.
