The Cornish mizzle did not stop the men entering the Battle Trophy this Saturday. 61 members entered the medal round played from the white tees. Perhaps not surprisingly given the weather it was 2 Farmers and a Greenkeeper who topped the scores!
Nigel Buse had a great score from a solid round. He hit par after par to score a gross 80 giving him 67 net. Nigel is cut to 12 handicap - back in division 1 Nigel! Richard Hawken came 2nd with a net 69 just beating Rob Cook on countback who also scored net 69. After starting with a 7 on the 1st Rich Hawken finished with a birdy and 6 pars in a row. Rob Cook in 3rd place scored the lowest gross of the day with a 73.
In 4th place Nigel Ahearn had nett 70 ahead of Joe Combellack in 5th on countback. Lewis Bradley just pipped his dad Neil Bradley on countback, both with net 71 in 6th and 7th and Matthew Warr finished 8th also with net 71.
