St. Enodoc Golf Club - Battle Trophy (2) and the Ken Tune Cup

The 2nd round of the Battle Trophy always incorporates the Ken Tune Cup to commemorate the fantastic round Ken Tune had at the age of 76 when he hit a gross 76.   

The winner of the Ken Tune Cup this year is Norman Evans, his gross score on Saturday in the Battle Trophy was 82, giving him a KT differential of 8.  Well done Norman!

Guy Hovil won the Battle Trophy with Nett 68, hitting golden form on the 4th from where he hit 2 consecutive birdies and then didn’t drop a shot until the 16th.   In second place with 69, Josh Greenaway had the lowest gross of the day from his scratch handicap.  Steve Cock also scored nett 69 in 3rd place.  In 4th James Hutchings had nett 70 with Nigel Buse in 5th with nett 71.  Jack Irwin, Paul Honey and Byron Weston all scored nett 72 to take the last 3 prizes respectively.


Players were also able to enter the PGA Staysure Club Qualifying Competition.  Rod Frost won this on countback from Stuart Fleet with a nett 73.  Rod goes forward, partnering Nick Williams, to represent St Enodoc at the Players Club in Bristol on 29th May 2018.
