St. Enodoc Golf Club - Battle Trophy (2) and Ken Tune Cup

Battle Trophy (2) and Ken Tune Cup

The Premier League played their final matches this weekend but the Battle Trophy is just beginning, round 2 of the 6 round series was played in beautiful sunshine and also incorporated the Ken Tune Cup.

Chris Tickner won the Ken Tune Cup with a ‘KT differential’ of 9. A very good score - generated by Chris’ excellent golf not just his advanced years! The differential is worked out by deducting the players age from his gross score, this is in memory of Ken Tune, a long-time member, who at the age of 76 hit a gross 76.

Round 2 of the Battle Trophy was won by Nigel Goodman with a nett score of 67, he won on the last 4 holes with par, par, birdie, par. In second place, Phil Hoare scored a nett 68, his 4 pars over the last 4 holes it was certainly a close finish.

Chris Tickner finished 3rd with nett 69, beating Dennis Brown on countback into 4th place. In 5th and 6th place, Matt Warr and Keith Hawke both scored nett 70’s and Nigel Connolly and Rob Cook took the final two prizes with nett scores of 71.
