Lady Captain Sue Roworth (centre) with the 2019 Open Mixed Greensomes Winners Victoria Evans & Mark Churchill.
This year saw 28 clubs represented in the Annual St Enodoc 36 Hole Mixed Greensomes Competition with some of the entrants from as far afield as Birmingham. There were some familiar faces in the 46 pairs, including this year's winners who won the title in 2018. There were prizes for the top 3 Holywell scores, the top 3 Church scores and the best 4 combined scores over both courses.
Alan Vickery and Steph Bristow from Saunton claimed fist prize for their Church score of 36 points. On the Holywell, Matt Fox from our greenkeeping team and our Past Lady Captain Annie Cruse bagged first place with 46 points. For the combined first place prize it was a case of deja vu for Mark Churchill and Victoria Evans from the Isle of Purbeck as it came down to countback yet again! Improving on last year's scores by two points and with a better Church score the pairing recorded a score of 80 points pipping Daniel and Lindsay McLean to first place.
Congratulations to Mark & Victoria and we look forward to seeing everyone next year!
