Every year we host a scramble on our Holywell Course aimed at our own junior girls with a high handicap and girls from throughout the County. This year, with our junior section expanding so rapidly, we included a St Enodoc boy with a high handicap too. Teams were made up of one St Enodoc Lady, one St Enodoc boy, one St Enodoc girl and a girl from another club in the county. Its a great starting point for many juniors who do not get to play in competitions until their handicaps reduce and an excellent method of combining the coaching they receive with etiquette and rules on the course.
The St Enodoc Ladies who volunteered to play in what turned out to be a very soggy Saturday afternoon are to be commended, as are the juniors who persevered and completed the whole 18 holes. In first place was Penny Moons team, in second place was Judy Redmans team and in third place was Maxine Richs team. Special thanks to Cath Buscombe, Sophie Meek, Maxine Rich, Beth Elliott, Penny Moon, Judy Redman, Di Dingle, Janine Clagett and Sue Roworth for their patience and endurance.
