In place of the usual match between Holiday House & Country Members against Residents." />
There has been a major change this year as in place of the usual Holiday House & Country Members v Residents match there will be a charity event on Wednesday August 12th. The charities which will be the beneficiaries are the Ladies Captain´s charity “The Chris Treglown Foundation” (details are given in the article on upcoming “Music at the 19th” at http://www.st-enodoc.co.uk/members/news/music-at-the-19th-on-monday-july-20th-1402.html ) and “Sparks” a children’s medical research charity keenly supported by David Mills and David Pettman; full details on its pioneering work can be found at https://www.sparks.org.uk .
The format will be 4 Ball Better Ball Stableford with 2 scores to count, (off yellow & red tees), commencing at 11.30am. There should be sufficient time to meet in the bar before supper in the restaurant at approx. 7.00pm where Iain has promised a special evening for us. Prize giving and an auction in aid of the charities will then follow and the cost of this event for golf and dinner is £300 per team. You will find the entry form under Extras.
We are very keen to have a good mixture of local and non-resident Members, so as to ensure a broad mix of our membership to celebrate this special occasion. Among those who are already entered to support the day are the current Lord Mayor of London AlanYarrow and his wife Gilly
THANK YOU in advance for your support.
