On Tuesday 29th May the Dana Bowl and Neale Cups were played for on the Church Course in good weather and with the course in beautiful condition following the Mens County Championships. Our Ladies Captain, Penny Moon, won the Dana Bowl for Handicaps up to 20 with a Nett 74. In Second Place with Nett 75 was Terri Gliddon and in Third was Jan Derry on Nett 76. The Neale Cup, for Handicaps 21 and over, was won by Jane Pain with a Nett 76 followed by Maxine Rich on Nett 78 and Julie Smith with a Nett 80 on countback.
On Thursday St Enodoc Ladies played Lanhydrock Ladies in a League match at St Enodoc which they won.
We then played West Cornwall at Falmouth on Sunday in the Second Round of the Gammon Trophy. The weather was blustery and swathes of drizzle came and went making play interesting. However, our ladies battled hard and eventually won 4/3 despite the difficult conditions. Bev Vann, Sue G Jones, Lauren Williams and Di Dingle all won their matches with Jean Tatum, Sue Ofield and Kath Biddle givng their all despite losing, Kath taking her match to the 17th.
In the sixth round of the Mail on Sunday we have been fortunate to be drawn at home against Okehampton and this match will be played on 14th June at 4pm.
