St. Enodoc Golf Club - 2013 Open Mixed Foursomes

This is one of the most popular of all Open Events in Cornwall and an indication of the popularity of the event can be judged from the fact that the one hundred golfers competing came from twenty-nine different clubs; with six from the Nottinghamshire GC and two from Norwich GC. Others came from Staffordshire and Surrey. The visitors were rewarded for their journeys by a course immaculately presented and reflecting it\'s No 14 ranking in the Golf World top 100 courses..

With the wind slowly increasing through the morning golf became more difficult as this 36 hole competition progressed. It was not cold, at least by the standards of this benighted Arctic Spring and importantly it stayed dry. The conditions were reflected in the scoring; however that did not prevent Tamsin and Richard Blake from scoring a brilliant 40 points on the Church Course in the afternoon when the when was blowing about 20 mph and gusting at over 30 mph. This was a score which no other pair came close to matching - 33 points was the closest - and they were deserved winners of the 2013 St Enodoc Open Mixed Foursomes.
