Yellow Ball Comp Adds Variety

Published: 11th November 2014

The Yellow Ball Men's comp on Saturday the 8th of November provided some light relief for some and some confusion for others. Some members were frantically looking for yellow balls, taking the name quite literally, while others simply forgot to enter or got very confused with the scoring. Sometimes it is best to keep it simple for our boys! Nonetheless, 60 players enjoyed some blustery conditions on the Church Course in a 3-man team game scoring 2 out of 3 stableford scores.

For a change the afternoon players had substantially less wind than the morning starters. The back nine was fairly ferocious for the first half of the competition - less so for the afternoon crowd.

The winning team on the day was Steve Buse, Kevin Brenton and Tuck Clagett with 75 points. In second with 72 points was Rob Cook, John Paul and Nigel Buse while third place was won on countback by David Elliott, Anders Tensjo and Ian Day with 66.
