Due to the horrendous weather on Tuesday 6th September no golf was played on that day. On Friday 9th we played our penultimate League match against Tehidy in some lovely weather. The score was close and some good golf was played. However, we eventually lost 4-3.

The Ladies Club Championship was played on Sunday 11th in ever worsening conditions. The wind was extreme and got worse as the day wore on. However, we were lucky to only have a couple of hard showers. Scoring was difficult with some ladies playing 36 holes medal in the main championship while others competed in the 18 hole medal competition. Our rising star Katie Rule who now plays off scratch won the Robson Strokeplay Trophy for the best 36 hole gross score with 167. Meg Godfrey was the runner up with 180.

The Foster Centenary Trophy for the best 36 hole nett score was won by another young lady who is improving steadily, Lauren Williams, with a nett 154 followed by Jane Bendall on 159. Other prizes included the Barbara Wills Trophy for the best Nett 18 holes of the day. This was won by Lynn Ashcroft with a nett 76. The most improved AM to PM nett score was won by Trudy Tremain with 98 in the morning round and 88 in the afternoon. The presentation of trophies took place after the competition and canapes were served to all who competed.
