The Joker was wild

Published: 15th February 2016

On Saturday the 13th, the Men finally got a chance to play some golf. After being weathered out for several weeks the boys were ready to go, even if the course was still somewhat soggy. Light rain showers and a gentle breeze felt like heaven compared to the recent conditions the Men have had to deal with.  Bob Cruse's 4BBB Joker was the competition, allowing each player one 'Joker' hole on the front and one on the back. This allowed the player to double his stableford score on his chosen hole - announced on the tee before playing.

Taking top honours on the day were John Arnold & Paul Honey with 49 points, winning on countback over Rob Cook & Russell Combellack. In 3rd place came Mike Buse and Tuck Clagett with 48 points, followed closely by Andy Griffiths & Mark Jarvis (47) and Nick Shelley & Richard Helleur (46). The field was tightly packed, with very little distance between most of the scores.
