It has long been believed that if parents are actively involved in the game of golf then their children will stay engaged for longer. To this end, on Saturday 14th of June, parents were also invited to attend the day's coaching session. The junior players received their usual coaching sessions while the parents were introduced to the game in the form of a 'taster session.'
13 parents took advantage of the invitation and if the demand is there, more sessions will follow. We hope that the sessions will not only trigger an interest in the game but also encourage mum, dad, grandma or grandad to bring their youngsters to play on the Holywell, outside the coaching period. Many thanks to Mark and David for their time and effort as well as a number of club members who helped out on the day.
