St Enodoc Country member Jenny Justice (wife of CTC Team Member Mark Justice) along with fellow Walton Heath partner Alison Gee won the Sterling Salvers at Worplesdon on 2nd October. The inaugural playing of this scratch Foursomes event was open to all Surrey Lady Members. On their way to the final they defeated several Senior Home International players including the recently crowned British Seniors Champion. With the impending arrival of her second junior golfer in early December time was really running out for Jenny who had, during that week, decided to scratch from the semi final of a Club knockout. The final was played in 28 degree temperatures but Jenny was aided by the use of a buggy and their opponents were Arlene Castle of Camberley Heath and Gillian Brooks from Woking. The match was all square on the 18th tee and after similar drives Jenny thinking that this would probably be her last full shot in 2011 and put a 5 wood in the middle of the green. It was sufficient as their opponents failed to hit the target.
