St Enodoc's Rising Star

Published: 18th January 2018

2016/17 has been a good year for one of our lady members. With a list of competition successes to her name, it’s an envious position to be in and one we all aspire to. Who am I talking about? St Enodocs very own Caroline Hume-Kendall.

Caroline started her golfing with St Enodoc as a junior and returned as a lady member in 1999. As with life, golf for most part took a back seat to family commitments until this past year or so. Her competition record for last season speaks for itself with success in the Vice Presidents Cup, Sandys Cup as well as the Hi-Lo Greensomes in partnership with Gloria Crouch. Along with runner up places in the Soper Bowl, Hoskin Cup and the Goodman Goblets with partner Penny Cartwright.

To her credit, Caroline has now qualified for the England Golf Regional Medal Finals at Dainton Park on the 2nd May. For those of you who do not know, 120 players in the region who return the lowest aggregate differential of their four best nett scores from club medal competitions they have entered throughout the year will qualify. As you can appreciate there are some fantastic golfers in our region which makes for tough competition. Caroline has proven to be one of our most consistent golfers and for this reason we are delighted that she has qualified for the Regional Finals.

The only thing left to say is, congratulations Caroline and we wish you good luck at Dainton Park.
