On the afternoon of Friday 14th of July the greatly anticipated "North Cornwall Mash Up" was played between neighbouring clubs Bowood and St. Enodoc. The format was scratch better ball matchplay and both teams took the opportunity to prep their CTC sides.

J.Cruse & J. Combellack vs J.Greenaway & R. Cook

Josh was 3 under par through 7 holes triggering mild perspiration in team St.Enodoc. Cooke and Combellack were side lined slightly by this clash between CGU regulars as Cruse finished 4 under par holing what can only be described as the mother of all putts for birdie, and match, on the 16th. W 3&2.

J. Irwin & M.Masters vs B.Arnott & S. Hobbs

Irwin started with a birdie and Masters played solid golf starting from the 3rd where he was +2 from there on in. Both Irwin and Masters dove tailed well. Arnott had obviously been working on his game for this match (6 handicap bandit) however it finished in St. Enodoc's favour with a 2&1 victory on the 17th.

L.Bradley & G.Hovil vs M.Stockwell & T.Haley

Guy was the steady Eddy and Lewis had the inside know-how, but not enough to take Max and Tom any further than the 16th. Stockwell reportedly played well and team Bowood won 3&2.

The result was a 2-1 victory to St.Enodoc. Thank you Rex for arranging a BBQ  and also to the club for hosting. We look forward to the away game which will be nearer to the Maxam on the 13th of August. Attached is the North Cornwall Mash Up trophy kindly donated by Mike Masters.
