This event was blessed by fine weather.  Sunshine, light winds and a team of St. Enodoc Seniors welcomed 108 golfers from far and wide - in fact we could fairly claim a truly international field with at least 30 golfers from Devon and Somerset and notably one gentleman from Palm Springs, Florida who had chosen to complete his forty day tour of the UK and Europe by partnering a club member in the competition - he was very gracious in his high praise of both the golf course and the occasion.

Nick Williams was particularly delighted to witness two visiting seniors sporting bright pink shirts for their round and he was adamant that they be rewarded with golf balls for their artistic flair - might this be a fashion statement adopted by our seniors in the future?!!!

Needless to say the course was in excellent condition and the food and hospitality in the clubhouse was up to the usual high standards.

The raffle table was well stocked and the generosity of the competitors raised £355 for our Club Captain's charity - Ellie's Haven.

The pundits seated in the comfort of the clubhouse had assessed the conditions and were predicting scores in the forties - but this was not to be the case.  Though the overall standard was good with one third of the field achieving scores in the range from 35 to 40 points.
