St Enodoc continues to rise up the Golf World Top 100 U.K. & Ireland rankings moving up from 38th in 2010 to 35th. Golf World, widely recognised as the most authoritative of the course raters, has just revealed their bi-annual 2012 listings. We can all be proud of the Club for in 2002 we were rated 63rd since when the upward movement has been steady and reflects the amount of investment there has been in the Church course over the last 10 years in financial terms and the considerable effort that been put in to improve the overall presentation and quality of all the facilities.
We are in exalted company being one place above Royal Aberdeen, hosts of the last Walker Cup, and only two below the West Course at Wentworth. There has been a change at the number one position with Royal County Down overtaking both Turnberry and Royal Birkdale. One big surprise is the entry of Donald Trump's new Aberdeenshire International course at number 8 and it does not even open until July!
