This was hyped as the tie of the round and despite a final score line of 7.5 points to 4.5 points the match was closer than the final score reveals; a few missed putts here and there and the result may have been different. Two of the matches finished on the 17th and one on the 18th. Today's team, showing one change from the first round with Kristian Godfrey away on a previously arranged holiday, fought well and have no need to be other than satisfied with the effort in the afternoon. One more point in the morning could have made a difference.

By losing the morning foursomes 3 points to 1 point St Enodoc left themselves with a difficult task in the afternoon singles against a strong West Cornwall side; especially as John Paul had lost the 9th man match despite this going the 20th hole.
