Hawk eyed car buffs amongst the membership will have noticed a Swedish registered Peugeot 107 has been in the car park a lot of late, so who does it belong to? Well all was revealed in the biggest possible way on Sunday when Stefan and Anne-Marie Ebervall walked away with the star prize at the Turkey Trot with a brilliant score.
They joined St Enodoc as International Members about 12 months ago having been staying down at St Ives and came up here as they had heard of St Enodoc and were quite literally blown away in every sense of the word and knew that they had to come back here and they instantly put the wheels in motion to join. Living by the sea in the South of Sweden they can play golf almost throughout the year on temporary greens and off mats but they made the decision to spend at least three months here even though many of their friends thought how can anyone want to winter in England!
Stefan, off 18, who has worked in the telecoms industry on the finance side and Anne-Marie, a dentist by trade, who has played golf since a girl off 15, were so impressed how friendly everyone was prior to joining and even more so since. We had all better watch out as they will both be in action next Saturday with Stefan playing Pandora’s Box and Ann-Marie the Chicken Chase.
Welcome to you both from all the Members and continue to enjoy your golf here, but how ever did you drive the 107 all the way from Sweden to Rock via the tunnel – now that really deserves a medal!
