Slick greens making scoring hard for the Ladies

Published: 1st September 2012

Good weather greeted the Ladies on Tuesday 27th August for a Stableford Competition on both courses but with very slick greens scoring was far from easy. However, on the Church Course Annie Hawkey obviously putted well to score 34 points and win Division One. In second place was Di Dingle with 32 points on countback from Trudie Tensjo in third. In Division 2 Tamsin Blake took first place with 31 points followed by Sue Floyd Jones with 29 points and in third was Edna Alford with 26 points. On the Holywell Course Maxine Rich scored 35 points to win the competition. Anne Crossley took second place with 34 points and Jayne Brenton was third with 32 points.

A league match was played on Thursday at home against Newquay Ladies. The overall result was 5 - 2 to St Enodoc with Meg Godrey beating one of Newquay's top players and Terri Gliddon having an exceptional win of 9 & 7 over her opponent!
