Seniors suffer the Brazilian experience

Published: 16th July 2014

An otherwise successful season so far for the Seniors suffered a bruising setback at Bude on Tuesday 8th July. However unlikely, perhaps the sympathy of the old boys was extended a bridge too far after watching the semi-final of the World Cup, for they too, lost by the embarrassing margin of 7 matches to 1 ! Although some defeats caused raised eyebrows, Old Saints Maberly and Bentley avoided the whitewash with a consolation win in the last match. However, we can categorically dismiss as hogwash, the rumour that the guru, master tactician and captain of the Seniors is about to follow one, Mr Scolari, into retirement.
