Seniors away day at Truro is a disappointment

Published: 9th July 2017

These matches are coming thick and fast and the Old Saints are working hard to keep it all together! Having beaten Truro at home in March this year it was with high expectation that the boys headed down the A30 for the return match.

Weather was hot and sticky with very little breeze to cool the brow. With Captain of the day Keith Hawke and farmer Stuart Sandercock at his side off they went. Stuart firing on all cylinders won 3 of the first 5 holes and on they went to secure the first match point. Oh gloom, the next 3 matches were lost, All by 2 & 1. Match 5 however stopped the rot with a half but with match 6 turning in a much needed point the final 2 games were lost.

However, the home match produced a 7.5 to 0.5 win making the overall score 10 to 6 to the Old Saints, well done Boys!
