A field of 31 pairs competed for the Rex Machin Salver played on the 8th September, and for the second Saturday in a row golfers were greeted with sunshine and light winds. The course was presented in lovely condition although scoring in the foursomes format proved tough with any scores finishing level or better than handicap finishing high on the leaderboard.

Rich Hawken and John Rowe finished in 1stplace and despite three putting both the 15thand 16thgreens came in with a very good 38 points. They were followed closely by the 2ndplace pair of Neil Carhart and Norman Evans on 37 points and finishing a further point behind in 3rdplace with 36 points were Ben Chapman and Gavin Jarvis.
