Repeat success for St Enodoc Members at Lanhydrock

Published: 30th July 2016

Lanhydrock in summer is one of the prettiest and best maintained of Cornish parkland courses and the "Open" week they hold each summer is unsurprisingly popular. None more so than the Seniors Open which always attracts a large contingent of St Enodoc Seniors. Last year St Enodoc Member David Barber was the winner and another Senior the winner of the "Super Senior" category.

This year's event was held on Thursday 27th July and the Seniors duly turned up in force on a day where the weather could not make up it's mind whether or not to rain, drizzle or periodically sunshine. Be that as it may it did not prove any hindrance to Martin Wilson who won the event with an excellent score of 38 points, a cup and a pile of valuable vouchers - well played Martin ! Only one point behind and winner of the Super Seniors category, or as a colleague unkindly called it The Crumblies Cup, was Geoff Matthews - well done and congratulations.

Other Seniors, not to be left out, also picked in the 2's Club and nearest the pin competitions.
