Presidents Cup 2016

On Saturday 53 members entered the Presidents Cup competition.  The Presidents Cup is a Medal competition off full handicap with the Cup awarded to the best nett score. 

The winner of the Presidents cup for 2016 is Stuart Morley.  Stuart played out of his skin to win the Cup by a margin with a nett 66.  He produced his best ever round at St Enodoc but thought he had blown it when, after birdying the 15th, he took 3 off the tee on the 16th!  He had birdies on the 8th as well as the 15th and has had his handicap cut from 12 to 10.5 exact. 

In second place Paul Clemens started strong with 2 birdies in the front 9 and finished with a nett 70,  Richard Lawrence finished in 3rd place with nett 71 beating  Richard Hawken on countback into 4th place.  Derek Rushton took 5th place with nett 72 from Pete George in 6th place on countback.  Nigel Buse finished in 7th place with nett 73 beating Josh Greenaway on countback who took 8th place and also had the best gross score of the day at 73.
