Presidents Cup 2015

Published: 7th September 2015

This weekend saw the second Medal competition in a row!  The Presidents Cup attracted a field of 55 members playing to get their name on the honours board.  They were rewarded with sunshine and a fairly strong north westerly wind.

It was a close fought battle with 4 players returning with Nett 70.  Rob Cook wins the title for 2015 holding off his playing partner John Paul to beat him on the 18th.  Rob birdied the 8th and was 2 shots ahead of JP at halfway, he then double bogied the 10th while JP hit a par to bring them level - It was mind wars then!  JP birdied 13, Rob 14 and 15 so it came down to the 18th, Rob made his putt for a par while JP 3 putted for a 6!   Rob scored the lowest Gross of the day at 73 to nett 70.

John Paul came in second, with John Rowe also on nett 70 taking 3rd place.  John also finished 3rd in last year’s Presidents Cup .  In 4th place Andy Beare also finished with nett 70.
