Right now it's raining hard after three days of fine Cornish weather and the Festival golfers have departed. Of the four hundred or so who have played our course this week not many will have been disappointed with the presentation and condition of the course; surprised maybe at the speed of the greens and which caused many a three putt. Our Twitter feed reflects many of these kind compliments. The reputation of the Club can only have been enhanced this week and all of the Club's staff - greenkeepers, catering and bar staff can be proud of their individual contributions.

But what about the golf I hear you cry ! Indeed what about it. Well our two Pro's will admit to having played better and both ended up on 14 over and tied in 52nd place out 110 Pro's in the event. Not disgraced by any means but not in the prize money. Nick's team did really well and finished 8th out of 114 teams - well done. Star of the week was undoubtedly Joe Cruse who played exceptionally well and shot 66 at Carlyon Bay with 6 birdies and an eagle - remember too than Joe, playing off +3, had to concede shots to the Ryder Cup and European Tour Pro's. How daft is that ?
