The usual coastal breeze came back yesterday and St Enodoc took it's revenge by ensuring that no one managed to beat par or to even equal it. But that is what seaside links golf is all about and the scores reflected that. The breeze coupled with lightning quick greens saw some pro golfers returning scores that would have embarassed a mid handicap St Enodoc Member.

Our own two Pro's, who can hardly plead lack of experience of playing in the wind, suffered as well and are now well down the PGA South West Cornish Festival leader board. However pride and the Pro Shop betting rights will ensure that they battle on to the end. At the close of play last night in the Pro stroke play competition Mark had a one shot lead over Nick, whilst in the team event Nick's team lead by the huge margin of twenty points and lie a creditable 14th place overall. It is rumoured that members of Mark's team have already been transfer listed and banned to the Holywell Course to re-apply for their handicap certificates.
