In an unseasonally cold north westerly breeze ninety-six golfers from all over England set out last Sunday, 24th April, to try and get the better of St Enodoc's two courses in the annual mixed foursomes competition. They may have been cold but kept dry and hopefully their tempers as the Church course set it's usual problems. Not least of which the speedy greens, still running at a high speed following the PGA event earlier in the week.

Those who managed best over the 36 holes were

  • 1st George & Nicky Gawman (Tavistock) 70 points (winning £80 each)
  • 2nd Dick Knight & Cath Hopkins (Launceston) 67 points (winning £60 each)
  • 3rd Brian & Yvonne Medlam (Saunton) 66 points (winning £50 each)
