Not the best of starts for Antony Nash

Published: 22nd May 2014

The third event of the 2014 Europro season is at the Longhirst Hall Golf Club in Northumberland. The course was in fantastic condition but there was a 3 club wind blowing on an otherwise lovely Day 1. The opening hole is a tough Par 4 and a loose tee shot from Antony saw him start with a Double Bogey. Antony consolidated the round reeling off a few pars until two fliers saw him make Bogeys on 8 and 9. The 10th is a driveable par 4 and another loose tee shot saw him make his 3rd Bogey in a row and him drop to 5 over through 10. This spurred him into action and he battled through the last 8 in 2 under and finished 3 over for the round.

The second day is forecast to be wet and windy so a solid score should see him safely through to Friday. Antony is looking for a team for a Pr-Am next week at Ross on Wye Golf Club on the 29th, this has been voted Gloucestershire's premier golfing venue! If interested email Antony at nashysgolf@gmail.com
