Norman Evans beats his age

Published: 28th April 2017

Holes in one are two a penny compared with what has just happened at St Enodoc, 73 year old Norman Evans with a Gross 70 beat his age by 3 in the Farmers on Thursday 27th April coming in with 41 points, an achievement in itself. Norman, a long time Duchy resident and Club Member, who recently was voted on to the Captain’s Committee cut his golfing teeth at Kings Norton in Birmingham from whence he hails.

The last time this matter was seriously visited was in August 2004 when that much loved and greatly missed character Ken Tune at the ripe old age of 76 shot a gross 76. There is hope for all of us more mature Members but they will have to be at the Club bright and early each morning like Norman and practice, practice, practice. Bravo Norman.
