No luck for Katie Rule at Kedlestone

Published: 27th June 2013

On Monday 24th June Katie played at Keddlestone G C. In Derby, once again fairly windy conditions on a course with very large undulating greens. After a long 7 hour journey the day before Katie got off to a bad start, and was 4 over Par after 4 holes, mainly down to not knowing the greens and leaving difficult putts. She eventually finished 7 over Par, after taking a 6 down the last, a Par 5, having been pin high for 2, but in an almost unplayable position in a green side bunker. She still managed to finish 9th, overall.

Next Monday Katie and caddy Father John travel to Salisbury and South Wilts G.C. They are both feeling more confident, after a couple of tweaks to her swing. If Katie wins one of the remaining WPGA meeting, she'll have an invite to play in a ladies tour event next year.
