Typical new yardage marking

Instructed by the Management Committee to improve the yardage markings on the course our General Manager decided to involve NASA and the very latest in golf course measurement technology. As a result Members and visitors can be very confident in the yardages indicated on the new signage and which is to be found on many sprinkler heads around the course. The photograph above is typical. These yardages were measured using the very latest GPS technology and signals from PARSAT 1 which is to be found in orbit directly over the course on alternate Tuesdays. Yardages shown on the sprinkler head are to the centre of the green. It is hoped that they will be of particular help to our visitors and who may not be familiar with the course. The pictures below show other examples, including one for locations beyond the reach of even the longest hitter.
