Monte Carlo Competiton

Published: 21st December 2015

The last Saturday competition of the year and yet another wet and windy Saturday!  Just 20 players turned out in the rain to play the Monte Carlo competition.   The competition was played in pairs with each players points multiplied together.  The rewards can be high if both players score, however if one of the pair fails to score the multiple is 0 and therefore no score at all.  With the conditions as they were on Saturday the scoring was anything but spectacular and there were a fair few holes with no score at all.

In first place Mike Buse and Kevin Brenton proved a steady pair, scoring on most holes and returning with 40 points.  In second place, Andy Golding and Richard Hambly scored 38 points, 21 of those points were gained on just two holes with the rest of the card a little bare!  In third place, Andy Bunt and Tuck Clagett had 37 points.
