Mixed results for the Seniors

Published: 11th September 2012

The last few days have produced mixed results for the Seniors. The expedition to Westward Ho!, led by the intrepid Keith Willmott, met with fierce resistance in the shape of a talented RND team that administered a sound beating by 7 ½ matches to a ½, for which St. Enodoc were indebted to Pete Smith and Pete Godfrey. Royal North Devon therefore retained the Johnny Fallon Driver trophy.

In contrast the match against Bude at home, ably captained by Harry Gliddon in the absence of Peter Commings, was won by 5 ½ to 2 ½ which meant that St. Enodoc won the combined fixture by a single point and, as a result, took possession of the Bude Putter trophy which will hopefully soon be on display in the Clubhouse.
