Men's Red White and Blue Competition

The teams of four competing in the Red/White/Blue competition played on the 1st September were greeted with sunshine and light winds. 2 Stableford scores counted on the Blues, 3 on the Whites and all 4 on the Reds.  With conditions being much more user friendly than the previous Saturday scoring was good and included the best efforts of the 2nd place team of John Radford, Malcolm Knight, Simon Pain and Terry Johns otherwise known as the "Road Team", so called after scoring 11 points on the 15th with a display of precision iron play landing 3 of the 4 shots on the road with one very nearly going in. The team of Shaun Beare, Kevin Parker, Tris Lang and Andy Golding came out on top with a very good score of 119 points, the "Road Team" were on 117 points and the young team of David Phillips, Richard Phillips, Tom Meek and Harry Meek coming in third with 115 points.
