On Sunday 18th August, a round of the Roworth Salver was played in bright and breezy conditions. Kath Biddle has taken advantage of the school summer vacation to work on improving her game with resounding success. Kath finished in first place with a brilliant 39 points and is to be congratulated on reducing her handicap to single figures.

The Sir Cecil Carr Competition was held on the Church Course on Tuesday 20th August. This is a Stableford Competition with a difference as players are only allowed to use four clubs instead of the usual fourteen. Maggie Day obviously made the right selection of clubs and claimed the top spot after compiling an impressive 36 points.
