LADIES OPEN – Tuesday 17 SEPT 2013 Despite the dreadful wet weather ninety three ladies took part in this annual event.  Players travelled from far and wide to enjoy our lovely course and facilities. When the ladies arrived for the day they were met by a beautiful prize table full of Camel Valley Brut, both pink and white – St Enodoc certainly enjoys a well known reputation for it's splendid prize tables!  Ladies arrived in their droves and the clubhouse was buzzing with conversation and the smell of bacon butties and fresh coffee,  what a welcome after a long journey.

They played their 3BBB games in good spirit deciding to just ignore the weather and make the most of the day, the St Austell Brewery wagon on the tenth helped smooth the way somewhat.  The later players then had to battle against strong winds too but all seemed to be forgotten when they came back to the clubhouse for selection of lovely hot meals from our restaurant.

We varied our prizes this year and held Nearest the Pin competitions on all par 3s, giving the ladies 4 chances to win, with Longest Drives in  different handicap ranges. Prizes were in abundance with the winning team being Sue Ofield (St Enodoc), Sarah Taylor (Perranporth) and Shirley Clark (Tehidy) with 63 points shown here in the picture with Ladies Captain Lynn Ashcroft and Vice Captain Jax Buse.
